The idea of the first solo show of Alexandra Catiere in Russia, which Pobeda gallery presents as a part of 2nd Moscow International Biennale of young art, is an overview of the last ten years of the photographers work. The title of the exhibition “MMX” — is a symbol of the year 2010 according to the ancient roman cal-endar.
«Everything that has happened in history, with our country, on our earth and in our families-one, two, hundreds and even thou¬sands of years ago-has never gone away. It remains with us all, as a certain conglomerate of images and sensations. Time and boarders are absent there, for it remains as a uniform mass that is transformed within our minds, within our hearts, through all of the creases and crevices of our bodies, as it tries to get outside-demanding its form once again.
When I take pictures-I’m reminiscing….»
